The Reconnect Series- Social activities and opportunities to build friendships

  • Dovercourt Recreation Centre 411 Dovercourt Avenue Ottawa K2A 0S9 (map)

As we turn the corner on the pandemic, is your family wondering what resources and services are available for your adult loved ones?

A partnership between WAVE Ottawa and Families Matter Cooperative- The "Reconnect Series" is a unique in-person learning and networking opportunity for families to re-discover what the community has to offer our adult loved ones who identify with a developmental or intellectual disability. Each session will focus on a different topic and include special guests who will help us reconnect with our community.

Join us on Thursday, July 14 from 6:30-8:30pm for coffee and muffins, and a discussion on the topic of social activities and opportunities to build friendships. Special guests will include representatives from Fostering Forever Friendships, Dovercourt Dance, and Alumni Ventures/Hintonburg Community Centre.

If your adult loved one is not interested in joining the discussion, no worries we’ve got you covered, we are offering supervised open gym activities during this reconnect time.

To reserve your families spot, please complete this registration form today- space is limited.

The Reconnect Series is free of charge for FMC members and WAVE families, and $20 for non-members.
