Three more great events scheduled!

Funded by the Ottawa Community Foundation, Families Matter Co-op Inc. invites you to join us for some tasty treats and a great conversation on a variety of topics as detailed below.  

The Coffee House series is designed for parents, siblings and caregivers of individuals living with a developmental disability to get together and share knowledge and experiences, build networks and access essential information on community services, programs and support systems.

Three great events in August NOT TO BE MISSED:

  • POSTPONED to Sept.  Date to be announced.  On Tuesday, August 21st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, John Boyce will lead the conversation "A parent’s guide to exploring innovative housing options for an adult child with a developmental disability".

Location: Vincent Massey Park - located off Heron Rd near Riverside Drive.

  • On Monday, August 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Lisa Murray will lead a conversation on "Person Directed plans: A young couple’s guide to sharing their home with two young men with developmental disabilities".

Where: Britannia Park Trolley Station - located west of the Britannia Beach Parking Lot.

  • On Thursday, August 30th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Helen Ries, Vanessa Chang and Charlene Davidson will lead the conversation "The Sibling Journey: Supporting, Caring and Change".

Where: Britannia Park Trolley Station - located west of the Britannia Beach Parking Lot.
