March 15- Facilitated Discussion: When they don't get it!

Learning your child has a disability or a life-threatening condition is heartbreaking. But what happens when your own family or friends/acquaintances just don't get it; don't seem to understand your child's strengths and needs and your challenges. What to say when there are insensitive remarks or actions from those close to you.

Are you a brother or a sister of someone with a disability?

This is the group for you!

It is your chance to meet other brothers and sisters who really understand how having a sibling with a disability is UNIQUE.

Participants between the ages of 5 and 14 years old wil be grouped by age. Both groups will meet at the same time and place, making drop off and pick up a breeze for parents.

"My daughter enjoyed the activities and was very happy to share experiences with others".  Joel, Parent
